The final Easter egg has been discovered in the Halo 3 loading screen – almost seven years after the game was released.

According to Team Beyond, the Easter egg, which can only be triggered on Christmas Day, is activated by holding down the two thumbsticks during the loading screen.

As a result, the screen zooms out to give fans a wider view of theHaloRing, which features the words: “Happy Birthday Lauren.”

The Easter egg was placed in the game by Bungie developer Adrian Perez for his wife.

Previous Easter eggs within Halo 3 have included the IWHBYD skull and Red vs. Blue dialogue.
