Ferrari The Race Experience slips a week

The sequel to Ferrari Challenge Deluxe, named Ferrari The Race Experience, has missed today’s release date and has now been pushed back to 6th October. The delay is due to the redemption code offer, which will give owners of the original game a discount on the purchase of the sequel.

Originally a packaged game across a number of formats, The Race Experience is now being released as a PSN download exclusive, at least until the retail Nintendo Wii version arrives. The new game uses an enhanced version of the Ferrari Challenge race engine, boasting a whole host of new additions under the hood. Cars such as the 458 Italia and the 599XX are included and the game also has numerous difficulty settings along with three handling engine settings (Assisted, Arcade and Simulation), which should cater from the casual to the hardcore.

The game will be available next week at a cost of £11.99 or with the loyalty discount £9.99.

Marty Greenwell

Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
