Far Cry 4 officially announced by Ubisoft

After months of speculation and rumours, Far Cry 4 has been officially announced.

Posting on Twitter, Ubisoft revealed: “Far Cry 4 is coming 11.18.14 to Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 & PC. Visit farcrygame.com for more. #FarCry4”

The game’s website gives a taste of what to expect: “A breathtaking, perilous and wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic self-appointed king.

“Write your own story across this exotic open-world full of unpredictability, using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals. Welcome to Kyrat.”

Those who pre-order from the website will receive a “free limited edition upgrade”, which consists of an impaler harpoon gun andthree extra story missions in which players “save Hurk from imprisonment”.

Further details about Far Cry 4 are expected to be revealed at E3 next month. The title is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 18th, 2014.
