F1 2010 returns in September

Those eagerly awaiting the return of Formula 1 to the heavyweight consoles will be pleased to learn it’ll make its return in September.

Codemasters are in the driving seat for this installment, the first for PS3 since the old licence was handed over back in 2008. It includes the full licence for drivers, cars and tracks from the 2010 FIA Formula One World Championship which kicks off this weekend.

That means former world champion and retiree come racer again, Michael Schumacher will feature alongside current champion Jenson Button.

All the new teams will feature (few of those this season) and the new Korean International Circuit. All the modes you expect will be on offer and for the first time a ‘highly advanced damage model’ will feature including dynamic weather and online options.

The same Codemasters team that created Dirt 2 and Grid are in charge with the engine powered by the EGO Game Technology Platform – the same from the former gamers.

We look forward to the release and will keep you posted.
