KOEI has slipped us a release date for Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires which will be out on the 26th June for the PS3 and 360.
It’s an update on the game of the same name minus the ‘Empires’ which was released in early 2008. Our Luke wasn’t that impressed by it either saying:
“While KOEI have brought some new features to the game and have upgraded the graphics, Dynasty Warriors 6 still feels as old and repetitive as the previous five reincarnations”.
We can hope for better things then with empires which has added tactical elements into the hash-and-slash mix. You can chose between being a ruler or an officer and cards can be acquired to improve the state of the population, forcing followers to literally follow what you say.
You can create your own hero as well or become one of the new characters in the game. The six existing heroes have being granted new weapsons and moves.
Completing the update are new levels and stages to explore. It sounds fairly comprehensive and will retail at a budget price of £24.99, but will it be worth it?
We’ll be on the case when the game launches next month.
