Double Dragon on the Live Arcade next week

Empire Interactive have announced that the long awaited Xbox Live Arcade release of Double Dragon will take place next Wednesday. The game will feature updated graphics and all the usual stuff you’re used to from Live Arcade titles. It will cost, we presume, 400 Points.

Empire also took the opportunity to announce it’s second XBLA title, Speedball II: Brutal Deluxe. The 1991 classic has sold over 2 million copies on various platforms and has been named as one of the best games ever multiple times. The XBLA version is said to be a “perfect conversion” with the addition of high-def graphics, more teams and downloadble content in the future.

Ian Higgins, CEO of Empire Interactive, said:
We are pleased to be bringing this all-time classic to Xbox Live Arcade. With its brutal and addictive gameplay, and the ability to play multiplayer over Xbox LIVE, we are sure this will be the definitive version of Speedball.”
