Diablo III console-bound and dated

Diablo III is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it has been revealed.

The game’s developer Blizzard Entertainment announced that the console version of the PC title, which became the fastest-selling PC game of all time when it released in May 2012, will come with a range of new features.

Such features include custom-tailored gamepad-driven action, a dynamic camera perspective and an all-new user interface and control system.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, said: “PlayingDiablo IIIon a big screen with your friends brings a whole new level of intensity to the game, and with all of the control and interface adaptations we’ve made, it’s extremely fun to play on PS3and Xbox 360.”

He continued: “In addition to the fine-tuning we’ve done for the console versions, we’re also including major content and design updates we’ve made to the PC version over the past year, so players can expect an epic Diablo gaming experience when the PS3and Xbox 360 versions launch in September.”

Blizzard Entertainment also revealed that those who pre-order will receive an exclusive in-game Infernal Helm, with select retailers offering additional bonuses.

Diablo III has been given a release date of September 3rd.
