Electronic music has soared in popularity over recent years with the mainstream emergence of dubstep as a genre and with DJs such as JoelZimmerman, alias Deadmau5, and Russko treading in the footsteps of established electronic artists such as Daft Punk and David Guetta. Its atmospheric surge into the public eye was swiftly followed by the genesis of music game for the coutnless wannabe vinyl-dancers and disc-jockeys out there, Activision’s DJHero.
Astonishing hype coupled with devastating commercial sucess was always sure to spawn a sequel and, as expected, DJ Hero 2 has been slated for a European release date of October 22.
The new edition will be offered as a bundle with Deadmau5 themed merchandise including T-shirts designed by London-based design firm Joy stickJunkies and figurines.Additionally, a ‘Party Bundle’ will be available which will include the software, two turntables, merchandise and a mic to take advantage of the title’s new MC-ing capabilities.
