Day Three and PS3 Fans are Getting Weary

The PlaystationNetwork has now been out of commission for three days and still it seems that there is no end in sight for PSN users. The inability to play online and earn trophies will no doubt be denting the playability of Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat which only adds to the PS3’s woes.

We are still waiting on more precise information regarding the cause of the downtime. On the one hand you have Sony claiming it is due to an external intrusion. Yet Anonymous have commented saying it’s an internal fault, whatever way you look at it fans are becoming more and more weary of the lack of communication provided to them during this period.

If the reason is due to an external party hacking into the PSN then why don’t Sony simply come out and say that? It would give the fans something to rant about, they would no longer be swarming the Sony support forums and posting blogs of PSN hate all over the web, instead aiming their attacks at groups such as Anonymous.

For now, sadly, PS3 owners will still have to make do with the single player modes on their new games and we can only imagine that Sony will be planning something special as way of an apology for this utterly pointless lack of communication that has kept PS3 owners in the dark for three days….and counting.

Stay tuned for more news on this on-going crisis here at Console Monster.
