Crackdown to merge single player and co-operative

Crackdown will merge single player and co-operative play, it has been revealed.

Speaking to OXM, Creative Director at Microsoft Studios Ken Lobb said that the Xbox One title will be a “mash-up” of single and co-operative play. He explained: “Crackdown was one of the first drop-in, drop-out co-op games, but we’re going more towards ‘there’s just the game’.

“You’re playing the game, it’s single, it’s co-op, it’s a mash-up. Choose at will in the game, instead of hiding behind menus and loads and lobbies. Just make the gameplay as if it’s one big thing.”

Crackdown was officially announced during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference, though very few details have been revealed about the title.
