Core 360 Drops to £150

Play.com have dropped the price of the Xbox 360 to just £149.99. That’s £50 less than the RRP (or, as I like to look at it, another game!) and also makes the console the cheapest of the three “next-gen” consoles in the UK, with the Wii retailing at £179.99 and the PS3 at £424.99.

The move comes after wholesale retailer Makro reduced the price of the Premium Xbox 360 to just £199.99 (before VAT) making it the same price as the Core console at most stores.

Fellow online retailer Amazon have followed Play’s lead and dropped the price of the Core console to £189.99.
