Conflict: Denied Ops Announced for 360 and PS3

Eidos have today announced Conflict: Denied Ops for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. The game sees you control two secretive US operatives whose job it is to undertake missions that would be too risky for the US Army to undertake. The game will take place in South America, Africa and Russia amongst others and will feature action sequences that would give Hollywood a run for it’s money.

Until now, the game had been known as Crossfire.

Matt Gorman, Director of Marketing at Eidos said of the game:
“Conflict: Denied Ops delivers what people want in an action game, It’s brutal, explosive, and easy to pick up and play yet still incorporates advanced co-op and environmental tactics.”

The game will be powered by Pivotal’s new Puncture Technology which allows for masses of destruction. Currently it sounds very much like Pivotal plan to go up against EA DICE’s Battlefield Bad Company in the graphics department.

Conflict: Denied Ops is pencilled in for an early 2008 release.
