Clint Mansell to compose Mass Effect 3 soundtrack

BioWare has confirmed that Clint Mansell will be composing the soundtrack to the third game in its sprawling, science-fiction RPG, Mass Effect.

For those unfamiliar with Mansell’s work, he famously composed the soundtrack to The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream and the award-winning Black Swan among others.

Mansell also created the soundtrack for Moon, which shares the ambient and otherworldly tone of BioWare’s franchise.

Mass Effect 3 marks Mansell’s debut as a videogame composer, but the 48 year old musician is no stranger to the world of gaming, having also composed the soundtrack for the Doom movie. Although the less said about that, the better…
