Chrome Xbox 360 controllers announced

Three new controllers have been announced by Microsoft.

The announcement was made on Major Nelson’s blog, who revealed that the “special edition chrome series wireless controllers” will be released in the US next month.

The announcement read: “Today we’re announcing theXbox 360 Special Edition Chrome Series Wireless Controllers. Available in Blue, Red and Silver these controllers also feature the transforming D-pad.

The controllers will have an estimated retail price of US$54.99 each and will be available mid-May.
Color availability will vary by region.

Graeme Boyd, better known as AceyBongos, revealed on Twitter that the controllers would be releasing in Europe: “You might have seen@majornelsonmention these new Chrome Series Xbox controllers. Yup, they are coming to Europe soon.

In a follow-up tweet, AceyBongos said that there is “no confirmed Euro date or price for the Chrome Series controllers yet.
