Ever since its release; Dead Rising has been tooken a great deal of liking from both critics and gamers alike. The game has been a decent Xbox 360 HD success and has boasted a rather impressive marketing campaign throughout North America and Europe. However, if you’re not fortunate enough to own an HD television there could be a problem.
According to many Dead Rising owners, the game’s font is basically “unreadable” for standard definition televisions. In return, Capcom admitted that the game was developed for HD televisions and the game’s font may be more difficult to comprehend for the those who don’t own HDTVs. However, they did give us some pointers on how to improve the font to make it visually acceptable. Although none of them invlove an “in-game” option that makes the text larger they might turn out to be a bit useful.
Reported by 1up.com:
1.) Adjust the settings on your TV or monitor.
2.) Try using component cables instead of standard composite.
3.) Setting the TV to widescreen ratio (even though you may not have a widescreen TV) may help in some cases.
Capcom’s stance on a Dead Rising patch for standard television users is unknown at the current moment.
