Capcom confirms Resident Evil remastering

The original Resident Evil game is being remastered, Capcom has announced.

Due for a digital-only launch in early 2015, the port is set to release on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Based on the 2002 GameCube “Remake”, the new version will include 1080p visuals (on next-generation consoles) and 5.1 surround support.

Other new features include the choice between playing the game in classic 4:3 ratio or in 16:9 widescreen, as well as a choice of control styles and a new scrolling camera.
