Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 breaks more records

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has broken even more records.

According to Microsoft, Modern Warfare 3 “set a new peak concurrency record” on Xbox Live, with many gamers playing the recently-released title over the online service.

Activision also revealed today that 6.5 million copies of the game were sold in the United States and the United Kingdom in its first 24 hours, making it the biggest entertainment launch of all time in any medium. The figures make it bigger than Star Wars at the theatrical box office (though doesn’t count DVDs, etc.).

Have you contributed to either of these records? Leave us a comment with your thoughts.
