Activision has outlined their upgrade plans for their upcoming shooter – Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Gamers who choose to buy early on current-gen and upgrade later to their shiny new next-gen console have a few options available to them.
The bottom line is that a few stores across the US, UK and Europe will offer upgrades to the next-gen version of the game for around $10 (£10 and 10 Euros) with the UK GAME store offering £40 exchange price between its release and 24th December. After which there will no doubt be post Christmas sales!
Sony will also offer a similar upgrade service online in its PlayStation Store until March 2014. Effecting both retail versions (with a redeem code offer inside the box) and also digital copies will get a $10, £10 upgrade offer too.
As reported a few weeks ago, in-game stats will carry over from current-gen to next-gen.
Season passes will also carry over to next-gen(from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, and from PS3 to PS4) at no additional cost, and gamers musttransfer their pass before May 31st 2014 to their new console. Transfer of individual DLC purchases have been kept quiet, pushing gamers to the security of the more expensive Season pass.
Has this news given you comfort in buying early or will you just be waiting out and going fully next-gen?
