Call Of Duty: Ghosts – Live stream recap

Today Activision and Machinima showed off gameplay of the upcoming Call of Duty game before the biggest games convention kicks off in LA. Call of Duty: Ghosts is an all-new game from the award winning franchise and studio Infinity Ward , your hosts for the event are Geoff Keighley and Justine Ezarik. This event was shown and streamed Live for 30 minutes and showed new gameplay footage from the game as well as exclusive behind the scenes footage, interviews with the Infinity Ward team, and more.

The CEO of Activision publishing joined the stage and showed off an new level running on next gen graphics called “Into the deep”. The level shows underwater scuba swimming and also shooting, with beautiful colours of the ocean and fish. Next up was the Executive producer for Infinity Ward and talked about the story of the game and the writer (Oscar winning) Stephen Gaghan. You play as the main character also along with his brother bringing a real family dynamic into the battle and the main story. Next was shown another level called “No Mans Land” where gameplay of the canine companion whom now has a name (Riley) and shows how he is used in the combat sections. All of this was shown on the next-gen software and the game look great, but it still felt like another Call of Duty game.

Unfortunately nothing was shown of the multiplayer but that might be unveiled fully at the main E3 event just around the corner. Call of Duty: Ghosts is available worldwide on November 5th on current gen but will be available on the next generation consoles later.
