Call of Duty 5 isn’t even out yet but there has already been talk of Call of Duty 6 in the pipeline.

Hint #1:

The popular (yet, more-so lower performance game server provider) has recently acquired the domain name “” why would this be? Well, we can tell by the following method COD6 is probably going to be for PC Players.

  • Call of Duty: Infinity Ward (PC)
  • Call of Duty: United Offensive — Gray Matter Interactive, now known as Treyarch (PC)
  • Call of Duty 2: Infinity Ward (PC, Consoles)
  • Call of Duty 2: Big Red One — Treyarch (Consoles)
  • Call of Duty 3: Treyarch (Consoles)
  • Call of Duty 4: Infinity Ward (PC, consoles)
  • Call of Duty 5: (most likeleyTrayarch) (most likely consoles)
  • Call of Duty 6: (most likely Infinity Ward) (most likely PC or PC/Consoles)

In order to keep the successful series releasing on a yearly basis, publisher Activision juggled entries such that creator Infinity Ward worked on Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat while Treyarch worked on the prior game. Given that setup, it is plausible that Treyarch would now be working on Call of Duty 5 while Infinity Ward moves onto Call of Duty 6.

Hint #2:

As known from Planet Call of Duty News:

The Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare developers want to know what you think of the game, and they’ve set up a survey to do just that.

“Now that you’ve had plenty of time with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, we’d like to get your opinion on the game. Below you’ll find a link to our survey about how the final version of the game turned out and what we can do to make the next Call of Duty title even better.”

An, oh yeah, it pretty much confirms IW is/will be working on Call of Duty 6 (if the odds/evens method holds up).
