It seems the Summer of Xbox Live Arcade could be burning a hole in your wallet. Microsoft, Number None Inc. and Jonathan Blow have announced this week’s upcoming release, Braid, will be released at the slightly higher price of 1200 Microsoft Points (£9.96 real money). The news comes as a surprise but also comes as a slight warning.
According to the official Japanese Xbox 360 blog, a post from July 30th priced Braid at 1200 Microsoft Points and Castle Crashers (releasing 27th August) at a staggering 1800 (£14.94) Microsoft Points. Microsoft was quick to deny the claims though with Braid officially priced at 1200 Microsoft Points, it might be worth spending your points wisely.
The rest of the Summer of Xbox Live Arcade releases, Galaga Legions and Bionic Commando Rearmed, will be priced at the usual 800 Microsoft Points (£6.64).
