Borderlands The Pre-Sequel not ruled out for PS4 and Xbox One

Gearbox Software hasn’t ruled out the possibility ofBorderlands: The Pre-Sequellaunching on PS4 or Xbox One in the future, although a new-gen release isn’t currently on the cards.

Principally developed at 2K Australia, with supervision from series creator Gearbox, the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC shooter takes place betweenBorderlandsandBorderlands 2. It’s set on the moon off Pandora and focuses on the rise of the second game’s primary antagonist, Handsome Jack.

Asked about the possibility of a PS4 and Xbox One release, 2K Australia’s Tony Lawrence toldGameReactorTV: “I guess we’re full on developing the PS3, 360 and PC game, and we believe in that too.

“All the Borderlands 2 players are playing on those consoles. That’s the choice they’ve got. So we want to reward those guys. If fans say ‘hey, we’d really like this on a next-gen console’, well, we’ll think about that, but right now we’re concentrating on the consoles we know.”
