Bioshock Infinite, one of the most anticipated titles of this year, has been delayed. Instead of coming out in October, as had been previously planned, the game will now hit shelves on February 26th 2013.
Ken Levine, creative director of the game, said that the delay was due to “uncovered opportunities to make Infinite into something even more extraordinary.” He has also stated that the game will not be showcased at E3, which is just a few short weeks away. “That way, the next time you see our game, it will be essentially the product we intend to put in the box. Preparing for these events takes time away from development, time we’re going to use instead to get the best version of Infinite into your hands in February.”
Hopefully the delay means that an already promising looking game is made even better with this extra time.
