Bethesda Pull “The Pitt” DLC from Xbox Live

All those eager Xbox360 gamers looking forward to grabbing the new DLC today for Fallout 3, named “The Pitt”, are in for a disappointment.

Bethesda have pulled the code from Xbox Live Marketplace following problems experienced by people who’ve downloaded the English version of the new content.

Bethesda state in their blog that “We are continuing to look into the issues people are experiencing with The Pitt for Xbox 360. As of now it looks like the file for the English version on Xbox Live was somehow corrupted. We are currently working with Microsoft to remove the existing file off of Live to prevent any further downloads. Our plan is to replace it with a new file as soon as possible. We hope to have another update for you shortly.”

Hopefully the issue will soon be resolved and we can all enjoy some further Pip-Boy goodness.

Let us know if you’ve already downloaded “The Pitt” and have suffered from these gremlins.

Marty Greenwell

Marty has been gaming since the heady years of the ZX-81 and still owns most of the gaming systems purchased since those days, including the Atari 2600, ZX Spectrum, SNES, Jaguar, Dreamcast and GameCube. Being a collection junkie (or more accurately, hoarder), he buys more games than he can possibly play, far too many of which are still sealed in their packaging. Marty favours RPGs and Driving games when it comes to genres, and is possibly a little bit too addicted to Disgaea. When not gaming he’s out frightening OAPs on his motorcycle, clad in black leather.
