‘Beginning of the End for Sony’ Say Hackers

According to GamingBolt, LulzSec, which had previously hacked Sony BMG’s Japanese Website, has promised more attacks on Sony and have said that the recent ‘external intrusion’ is only the beginning.

GamingBolt has reported this after taking note of a LulzSec tweet saying,

We’re working on another Sony operation. We’ve condensed all our excited tweets into this one: this is the beginning of the end for Sony.

and from another tweet,

(Sony + Ownage) Phase 1 will begin within the next day. We may have a pre-game show for you folks though. Stay tuned.

It is a plausible threat no matter what way you look at the tweets. Whether to take them to seriously is another matter, for one going over Twitter and admitting such acts is lunacy. Sony will no doubt already be disecting the Twitter accounts and sending the administrative user of LulzSec lovely letters from their $1000 a day lawyers.

I don’t think users should be worried about another spate of downtime, Sony will hopefully have learnt their lesson and will be strengthening the barriers protecting it’s users.

Even so it doesn’t exactly make for nice reading if your a PS3 owner.
