Despite Console Monsters failing to meet the requirements of the challenge, DICE has unlocked the final map of its Battlefield Vietnam expansion, Operation Hastings, for everyone. PC gamers racked up the required 69 million team actions in a matter of days, far outpacing console gamers (with 34 and 46 million actions respectively). Fortunately, however, DICE has embraced the giving spirit of the New Year and unlocked the content on console anyway. According to DICE, the change of heart is apparently to”start this new year with a bit of a bang as we ended it.”
How’s that for a belated Christmas present, then?
