Avatar ready for December launch

James Cameron’s Avatar The Game will launch on December 4th on 360 and PS3 it was announced today.

Avatar is the first game to make use of brand new technology from 3D television sets (which around 1% of the nation probably has). You will be able to play the game on a standard telly mind if you can’t afford a few grand on a new one.

Instead of following the film directly, it tracks a seperate set of characters and you’ll be able to play missions from both a human perspective or as one of the Na’avi. Those by the way are aliens who have bows and arrows. Interesting mix.

The film is out on December 18th and we’ll have a full review of the game closer to launch.
