Angry Birds flying to consoles

Popular mobile phone game, Angry Birds, will be released digitally on consoles it has been revealed.

Speaking at Social Gaming Summit, Rovio CEO, Peter Vesterbacka, announced that Angry Birdswill be coming to PSN, Wii and Xbox for starters.”

A number of Twitterers shared the information from the event, which also contain details of a forthcoming Angry Birds multiplayer that will resemble “old schools Worms.” It is not yet known whether these features will be implemented into the console versions.

Angry Birds sees players firing different types of birds towards green pigs in their fortified castles which players must eliminate.

No word on a release date has been announced. Stay tuned to Console Monster for more details.
