Angry Birds Amazingly Hits One Million Sales

The retail copy of the world-renowned Mobile-app Angry Birds has hit one million unit sales it was revealed today, despite the 69p app costing around £30 on your console.

Due to this success the Wii U will also soon be receieving the Angry Birds treatment with a release date of late 2013.

“It was certainly satisfying to see Angry Birds gameplay adapt so well to other platforms in 2012,” said Rovio EVP of games Petri Järvilehto. “The features specific to the Wii U are very intriguing to us, so we’re excited to release this version to fans.”

The thing about the Wii U is surely the ANgry Birds game will play like the app through it’s dedicated controller. which if that’s the case why waste £30 on it when you get the same experience on your smart phone?

Hopefully these so called ‘features’ will make Rovio’s latest creation a must buy for Nintendo fans.
