Alan Wake confident to make it’s Spring release

Well, it’s about time Remedy. I remember first reading about Alan Wake just as the Xbox 360 was being released….back in 2005. It was an intriguing concept back then and the sneak peeks between then and now have kept me tantilised to the point of annoyance with it not being released.

In a recent Q&A session with fan submitted questions, Remedy co-founder and development director Markus Maki declared that despite the long production, the team are confident that Alan Wake will make its Spring 2010 release date.

“I don’t think any developer plans on working on a single game for this long, but for the last 1-1.5 years we’ve hit our own milestone targets very well and thus were confident on announcing the Spring 2010 release.”

He also mentioned that there is a chance that there could be a demo released for the game, although that is not certain as of yet.

It’s nice to know that the game is somewhere near production and could be coming out soon. Alongside the demo shown at E3, I have a quiet confidence about Alan Wake. Let’s just hope it doesn’t go the way of the latest Alone In The Dark.
