More talk has come out of the Microsoft camp recently in an MCV (industry magazine) interview with J. Allard about the lack of any “tangible PS3 offerings” following this years TGS:
“We don’t want to hide behind video’s, we don’t want to hide behind CGI movies, we don’t want to hide behind false promises – everything we showed on stage was real. Our medium is an interactive one. Showing isn’t enough.”
Microsoft have been keen to state from the off that through all the exaggeration and hyperbole coming out of the Sony camp, Microsoft are still the only company in the next gen war to actually offer gamers a piece of hardware and show them exactly what the XBOX 360 can do.
Allard also went onto state that “They [Sony] make nice movies”, a statement of sarcastic intent which will be sure to put Sony on the defensive.
The icing on the cake came when a cofident Robbie Bach claimed that “Sony willl be chasing us for a very, very, very long time.”
Microsoft are defiant that they have this console war in the bag. Although they do have the head start it would be foolish to count out Sony or Nintendo at this point in time. However, Microsoft do look in pole position.
