With the month of October over, the staff here at Console Monster reflect back at the last month’s current events in the gaming world, as well as give a little insight of their gaming antics this month, and what they are looking forward to playing next month.
Today we take a look ahead into the month and let you know what we’ll be playing and buying.
Dave: I’ve already pre-ordered Gears of War 2 and Guitar Hero: World Tour. After playing the spectacular demos for Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts and Mirror’s Edge, I will also be looking to pick them up too. There are no doubt other titles I want, but one look at my wallet tells me it’s not going to happen.
Chris: I probably won’t be playing much next month because I’ll be so damn poor. But I’m going to try and get Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2, perhaps Mirror’s Edge and maybe Left 4 Dead. I know I’ve missed a bunch out, I just can’t think of them right now. Hopefully though, my November will be full of gaming goodness!
Rob: It is a busy month really. I loved Banjo on the N64 and so far I’ve not really been impressed by the new one, however, with the demo now available it’ll probably give me a deciding factor on if I want to buy it. As I now work in a games store for the Christmas period, I’ll probably be buying other titles with my discount including Guitar Hero 4, Rock Band 2 and possibly Gears of War 2.
Reece: The month of November is going to kill me. There are games I want, and then there are games I need. Mirror’s Edge and Gears of War 2 are games in which I would sell a vital organ in order to afford, whereas games like Banjo Kazooie, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Call of Duty 5, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Left 4 Dead, Rise Of The Argonauts and Naruto: The Broken Bond are games in which I want. Since I am a bit of an idiot, and like to buy more games than I can possibly play whilst living on beans – I aim to get them all!
Anthony: This fun packed month I will be no doubt kicking off with Little Big Planet, which had slipped into November. So I am sure a lot of time will be spent in creating and playing some user created levels, Console Monster level anyone? Also on the PS3 I’ll be looking forward to playing Resistance 2. I thought the first one was pretty good, so I’m sure this will do one better, and the mass co-op looks interesting. I was a little disappointed after trying the out the demo for MotorStorm: Pacific Rift. I am hoping the full release has a lot more to it than what the demo featured. Other multi platform games that I’ll checking out this month will be Call of Duty: World at War, Mirror’s Edge, which I am still yet to play the demo, Shaun White Snowboarding, Need for Speed Undercover and of course Left 4 Dead, which is going to be just brilliant. Mmm brains!! Oh yeah, and Gears of War 2.
So there you have it. This month we’ll be fighting off the Horde, collecting nuts and bolts, calling in artillery strikes, pulling tricks and fighting back waves of zombies. Let us know what you will be picking up this month in the comments below. Tomorrow we’ll be giving our views on last month’s Tokyo Game Show.
