Gears Week: Coolest Gears Merchandise

Every now and then Gears of War fans will no doubt be paroozing eBay, Amazon, Play or one of the many other online retailers when they’ll come across a Gears of War section. The Gears of War sub-sections for many of these online retailers are vast beyond all belief. You’ll find everything from Graphic Novels right through to Jigsaw Puzzles.

With that in mind Console Monster has taken a look through the many different items currently available to fans of Gears of War and have chosen our favourite from the wide array of items currently for sale online.

If Red bull Gives You Wings, What Does Imulsion Give You?
Starting of with what many gamers find themselves drinking after an eight hour gaming marathon. Energy drinks make up a large portion of many gaming diets, the ability to keep you alert and awake means that those few extra points of XP you need to level up can now be obtained, all be it at the sacrifice of baggy eyes and a horrid mood the following morning.

Produced by Boston America Corp. this 250ml can of pent up energy is exactly what every Gears of War fan needs come the games release this September. The listing below and every other listing for this can of Imulsion reveals absolutely no details on the ingredients and amount of sugar in this energy drink. A little worrying, even so I’m sure it will be the perfect boost of energy for those long nights to come.

Gears of War Imulsion (250ml) – $4.99

Trick or Treat?
Ever had that thought come Halloween night that you have nothing to wear for trick or treat. Well fear not for you can now go as Marcus Fenix legendary leader of Delta Squad. Granted it may not be the scariest mask, but not only will you look rock hard, but guaranteed every man and his dog will label you as ‘cool’ and want to know where you got this awesome mask from.

The mask is also made for an adult, so even Dads now have an excuse to don an outfit and go out with their son or daughter for some free sweets. It’s the perfect pre-Halloween present for Father and Son alike.

Marcus Fenix, Gears of War Adult Mask – $45.95

Re-create the perfect Chainsaw
That’s right, you’ve sawn someone’s torso in half thanks to your trusty chainsaw. Well know you can see that same thing from the comfort of your own home. This pack comes complete with a Marcus Fenix figurine, a locust with blood pouring from his chest and even a COG Pistol and Hammerburst for that additional customisation every child yearns for.

From the Amazon listing, recreating one of the most memorable and satisfying moments from the best-selling Gears of War video game, this 2-pack comes with new versions of the heroic Marcus Fenix chainsawing his way through an enemy Locust’s torso. High-detailed and faithfully sculpted based on Epic Games’ CG models; this figure 2-pack also comes with game-accurate weapons and accessories.

Marcus Fenix vs Locust Drone Action Figures – £23.82

BE Marcus Fenix
Everyone loves playing as Marcus Fenix in Gears of War. Even with the plethora of playable characters online, more often than not gamers still like to be Marcus Fenix. Maybe it’s his dysfunctional past, from hero to villain then back to hero again. Maybe it’s because we feel sorry for him and his rather distant relationship with his father. Maybe it’s simply because he looks bad ass, with his scar running down his cheek and his trademark skull cap covering what little hair he has left.

Well maybe you don’t have the tortured past, or the horrific scar running through your entire cheek. Despite this you can still look and feel a little like Marcus Fenix with this custom designed Gears of War Skull Cap. For the price it doesn’t seem like you get a lot for your money, but I’m sure anyone who aspires to be like Fenix (hypothetically speaking) can now take that little piece of him around with them wherever they go.

Gears of War Skull Cap – £56.09

Is this blood, or art?
So you’ve got the skull cap. The energy drink and the figurines littered about your room, but still you don’t feel like a true Gears Fan. Something seems to be missing; maybe a simple poster could do the trick, or better yet how about a Gears of War 3 Wall Art for above your bed.

This dramatic Gears of War scene is made up of 12 separate A4 images which when all placed together make a massive 47”x26” wall poster that will have any Gears fans left awe inspired. I’m sure if you invested a little more time and money you could get them made into canvas or have each individual image framed making for an even more authentic looking poster made fit for a Gears king.

You can have most any design or image from the game and even if you don’t find a design you like you could even explore creating your own wall poster. This particular poster is easily one of the better images that would look perfect propped up on a bare wall. Carmine with his Lancer in one hand and the life of a locust in the other, the perfect image to wake up with each and everyday.

47”x26” Gears of War 3 Wall Art Poster – £9.99

Your entire career in the palm of your hand
It’s what every member of the COG proudly wears around their neck. Not dog tags, but COG tags showing one and all that you are a serving member and property of the coalition of ordered governments. Through the games you search for COG tags of fallen comrades, a small sentiment for anyone who has fallen in the COG-Locust war.

These particular tags are made of solid metal and have a very authentic feel to them. There is also space on the back to have a name engraved for that additional personalisation. It’s the perfect item for any Gears Fans whether you wear it round your neck for all to see, have it proudly hanging above your tv, in your car or wrapped around your wrist. Why not show the world where you fight your battles with this set of COG tags. You can’t really go wrong for eight bucks either.

Gears of War COG Tags – $7.99

Hold a Locusts life in your hands….literally
We have of course saved the best for last and what a gem this is. One of the sole reasons Gears of War has become so popular is due to the Lancer Assault rifle and its trademark chainsaw strapped to the bottom. We all love splitting people in two or running up behind someone and giving them a surprise they truly were not expecting.

Who would have thought that you could hold that same rifle in your own two hands, forget about seeing it on your TV screen, you can have it perched proudly on your mantle piece and wield it around as if you were Marcus Fenix himself. It’s pretty big at 40” wide and at 15 pounds has a very authentic weight to it. With only 500 being made it truly is a limited edition piece of memorabilia that you are not doubt already drooling over?

The Lancer Assault Rifle is hand-finished and hand-painted to precision quality. Intricately crafted and cast in polystone and the end result is the most authentic trademark weapon of the COG military brought to life.

Lancer Assault Rifle – $949.99

Honorary Mention – Got Bricks
We had to include this next item, sadly it’s not for sale so has no price but it is an excellent piece of Gears of War merchandise and if ever officially sold would no doubt be snapped up by eager gamers from every corner of the globe.

It is of course the legendary Lego in gears form. Four simple custom designed figurines depicting Delta Squad in all their blocky glory. Kudos to the guy that made these as they look undeniably awesome and it’s just a shame these are not available to buy. Even so we couldn’t go on without mentioning them so enjoy the Lego Delta Squad (heck maybe this will catapult the franchise into a LEGO gears of War video game, you heard it here first).
