Gameplay Group International has revealed a new stage, Spirit Wilds, in its upcoming release Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, ahead of the title’s launch on PlayStation 5. The announcement highlights pre-order bonuses and confirms a Closed Beta window for early access, relevant to PlayStation players.
The Spirit Wilds stage draws from one of the more mysterious locations within the Avatar universe, delivering a fresh arena for combat. Its design includes elemental themes allowing players to engage with airbending and earthbending mechanics across visually striking environments. This addition expands the variety of competitive settings within the game’s roster of eight stages at launch.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game will launch with a total of 12 playable characters and several support characters. Separate gameplay modes include online battles, Training Mode, and an original story campaign, offering multiple ways for players to engage with the title.
Pre-order incentives and Closed Beta access on PS5
Pre-orders for Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game are active on the PlayStation Store for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions. All pre-order customers gain access to exclusive bonuses, including gold colour variants for key characters such as Aang, Korra, Zuko, Katara, Toph, and Sokka. An additional feature is the Samurai Appa support character skin, giving a new aesthetic to Aang’s companion within the game’s support system.
Players who pre-order will also secure voting rights to select a character to join the Year 1 Pass roster, allowing early involvement in the game’s post-launch content decisions. Furthermore, pre-order customers gain access to the Closed Beta scheduled from 2 to 5 July. This Beta will feature a subset of the roster, including Aang, Korra, Katara, Toph, Zuko, Sokka, and Azula, allowing players to experience the fast-paced combat and support mechanics ahead of release.
The availability of pre-orders and Beta access pertains exclusively to PlayStation 5 users at this stage, with no current announcements regarding other platforms.
Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game’s focus on both core and support characters, alongside new stage designs like Spirit Wilds, suggests a comprehensive initial experience for PS5 players. Details on the full release date remain forthcoming, but the confirmed Closed Beta in early July provides an immediate opportunity for hands-on play.
Pre-orders are live now via the PlayStation Store, with further updates expected as the launch approaches.
