The Xbox ONE has been out for a few months now, but what does the future hold? One of the main reasons, asides from the price, that I haven’t picked one up yet is because of the current list of games that are available. Well let’s take a look at the next few months and see what is in store for Xbox ONE owners. Don’t worry PS4 users, we have you covered as well in another article.
Please note that these are scheduled UK release dates and as always, are subject to change.
STRIDER – 19th February 2014
My first pick is a game that you’ve probably never heard of yet. But this 2D game looks brilliant fun and will take many gamers back to their gaming roots, which can only be a good thing. It might not be worth a full £49.99 they charge for next-generation games, but I think it could be one to pick up for the right price. Just take a look at the trailer for it…
TITANFALL – 14th March 2014
The next game on my list is the highly anticipated Titanfall. We’ve done a preview of this game which you can read here, but to paraphrase:
“We’ve had Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts, and enough fanboys for both duking it out over the finer points redeeming each, but the promise of Titanfall lies not just in its technical proficiency, but in its apparent drive towards progressive gameplay and innovation within the genre.”
Titanfall looks something different, something fast action-ed and something right up my street. This is definitely one to watch. Check out the below gameplay trailer which will have you wanting more.
METAL GEAR SOLID V: GROUND ZEROES – 21st March 2014
The next game to look out for is definitely Metal Gear Solid. This game just looks great and it could be the game the tells me it’s time to pick up a next-generation console. Sometimes words just aren’t enough, and in that case, it’s best to just sit back and enjoy a YouTube clip.
THE ELDER SCROLLS ONLINE – June 2014
The next pick on my watch list is a game that will include online gameplay for the first time ever. The Elder Scrolls Online looks visually stunning and with the inclusion of online [online is almost a necessity these days] it is sure to be one of the biggest games released this year.
That’s what has taken my fancy over the next few months, and those are the games that will no doubt prompt me to pickup an Xbox ONE. Keep your eyes peeled for my PS4 list as it may be I decide to pickup one of those instead. Tough choice but a good position to be put into.
