Microsoft’s Xbox Music Goes Head-to-Head With Spotify

Microsoft has announced that free web music streaming service is coming to its Xbox Music service, making it clash swords with popular music streaming service, Spotify. Releasing applications for iOS and Android today, and coming soon for Xbox One, the move gives a lot more weight to their Xbox Music service.

The small print stats that free users will see limits to their streaming reduced to 10 hours per month, after 6 months. Music Passes can be purchased for £1 cheaper per month than Spotify’s own service subscription, and it can be even less if you pay up front for 12 months subscription at £89.90 (£7.49 per month).

Will this announcement let you drop your Spotify subscription? Let us know in the comments.
