Atari have confirmed that The Witcher is in development after a leaked video was posted on the internet on Friday.
The game will be subtitled ‘Rise of the Wolf’ and according to the game designer Jakob Stilinsky will feature a brand new combat system.
“There are hundreds of new mo-cap animations in the console version. We also wanted movement of the character, the main hero and the enemies, to be more realistic and fluent, so we are mo-capping a lot of new movements,” Stilinsky explains.
The game will also support Achievements and Trophies for the respective consoles. The video can be seen below:
The game is due for release in Autumn 2009.
