"Halo Recon is the last Halo project" says Bungie

Bungie PR director, Brian Jarrad, said in an interview with gamesindustry.biz that the newly announced expansion for Halo 3, Recon, might be the last Halo title Bungie will make. Once the game is done, the team will probably split to create other games.

 Brian said, "I think when this project wraps up in a couple of months that will be the time when that team moves on to something else - part of that team will move on to something else and part of them will probably be absorbed into one of the other projects that are already on the way."

 We have no clue what the other projects will be, but I'm excited to see what new IPs the team may be creating. Jarrad said that Recon could be the "final statement" in the series of 3 Halo spin-off games including Halo Wars, Halo 3:Recon and Halo Chronicles, the Peter Jackson based episodic game that may or may not get a mention at TGS this year.
