Suddenly Drunk Inebriates Card Games to the Next Level

We live in strange times, my friends. Wars, virus outbreaks, economical downfall, PlayStation 5 shortages, and now I’m reviewing a card game?! What a world! But in these trying times, I find myself reaching for the comfort of a good old board game to remind me we are in fact still alive, and not in some endless purgatory following large-scale nuclear devastation. Social gatherings are just now getting back to normal, and that means it’s time to get drunk and have fun! (If you’re vaccinated, of course.) Luckily, the folks over at Breaking Games send over something that not only brings fun, but also drunken discourse!

Suddenly Drunk isn’t a traditional card game, but more of an add-on that can turn any turn-based board or card game into a funny, and shameful drinking game for 3-8 Players. I personally used Suddenly Drunk with Cards Against Humanity, and it only enhanced the already ridiculous card game.

The rules are fairly simple; each time it’s your turn in whichever “main” game you are playing, you also draw a card from the Suddenly Drunk deck, then do whatever it tells you. (Unless you are alright with being added to the Book of Shame, which is a fate worse than death). These cards can say anything from “Take a sip”, “Take a shot”, to requiring the player to speak in an accent for the rest of the game. All this piles up with the inevitable inebriation, and you can imagine the results.

While it sounds simple, and it is, it really does change any game you own and breathes new life into it. If you’re a fan of board games, and a fan of getting embarrassingly drunk, then this is the game for you. Get more info or grab a copy for yourself over on the official site.

Thanks so much to Breaking Games for sending this over. It was a blast.
