Dancing Bunnies? Sounds interesting. Cute little critters doing equally cute dances. It’s a shame that that is the best thing about the game. Boogie Bunnies is your run of the mill match 3 colours game. It isn’t very exciting, nor is it a technical marvel. The aim of the game is to fire a coloured bunny into a group of other bunnies so they disappear before they end up walking off of a ledge like lemmings with no self control. The difference with Boogie Bunnies is that you can fire from both sides as well as the front to get those hard to reach ones.

The combo system is terrible. At times it feels totally random and by firing just one bunny, you suddenly find out you’ve earned a lot of points. The only multiplier as such is when the bunnies begin to dance, enabling you to score more as they dance. You also can’t see the next coloured bunny. Normally, for me, with games like Tetris you can see the next shape which allows me to plan my move to coincide with the next. But with this it is totally random.

The graphics aren’t exactly the best ever, in fact they’re no where near, but they do the job of creating overly cute looking environments and bunnies that look as if they are made from plastic. The game copes extremely poorly when many things are happening on screen. When you score a huge combo, explosions appear. This is where the game slows down quite a bit, which is highly disappointing.

Overall, this is a fairly average title and at 800 MS points it isn’t really worth it. There are many other better Arcade titles out there to spend your MS points on.
