2K Games have revealed that they have plans to release further downloadable content for XCOM: Enemy Unknown in 2013. Two packs have already revealed, one of which already released (Elite Soldier Pack) and one on route (Slingshot content pack), but that’s not all as more will be on the way in 2013.
“The title is proving to be a critical and commercial success,” said 2K, before confirming that the game “is being supported with two downloadable add-on content packages available this year, with additional content planned for 2013”.
As for theSlingshot Content Pack, it consists of new Council missions, andwill have gamers “meet an enigmatic Triad operative, divert an alien ship’s course, and do battle with the aliens in the skies over China.”. Although no price or release date has been confirmed, it will feature three new maps.
