Xbox LIVE Gets Stung by Hackers

Numerous Xbox LIVE accounts have found themselves hacked this past week, with FIFA 12 credits collated by the user being spent by the hackers.

Using the accounts hackers have been buying FIFA Ultimate Team packs, going as far as accessing users credit card details to purchase the FIFA credits.

User ‘Speedjack’ found that his payment details were used yesterday and the credits “all spent on FIFA 12 content packs yesterday afternoon while I was at work.”

Microsoft have been quick to respond by freezing a number of gamertags whilst an investigation sources the root of the problem. There is currently no news from Microsoft on how these hacks came about so for now I’d watch your bank balance.
