The interweb is fully buzzing with the recent announcement from Microsoft about their price drop for the whole line-up of Xbox 360 consoles. From the Core system through to the Elite and Halo 3 Special Edition Console will have a price drop of $50. No news yet if Europe will see the same love, we are still yet to see an Elite his our own shores let-alone a price drop!
The revised prices for the console in the US and Canadian regions are as follows:
US Price
- Xbox 360 Core: $279.00
- Xbox 360 System: $349.99
- Xbox 360 Elite: $449.99
- Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition: $399.99
Canada Price
- Xbox 360: $399.99
- Xbox 360 Core System: $299.99
- Xbox 360 Elite: $499.99
- Xbox 360 Halo 3 Special Edition: $449.99
Would this be a tactical move by Microsoft? So soon after the recent release of the 80GB PlayStation 3, which hit retail stores yesterday. Will it hinder any PS3/360 fence sitters, we’ll have to wait any see.
