World at War Beta and release date confirmed

The release date and details of an upcoming multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World at War were revealed on the official website today. Battle will commence on Tuesday 11th November 2008 for North Americans whilst Europeans will have to wait till the Friday (14th).

In preparation for release, Treyarch will be launching a beta for the PC and Xbox 360 in October. The beta will let players experience “the game’s new squad system, as well as fan favourite PERKS and kill streaks.”

If you are interested in gaining entry to the beta, you simply need to register at the official Call of Duty website or alternatively, North Americans can pre-order the game at their local GameStop or online. More details of the beta will be revealed closer to the time.
