Virtual Console Update: Friday 13th June 2008

Today may be unlucky for some but not for Wii owners as the Wii’s Virtual Console has been updated with five new titles. Without further ado, here is the full list:

Alex Kidd in Miracle World – SEGA MASTER SYSTEM
500 Wii Points (£3.75)

One of SEGA’s original mascots, Alex Kidd, made his debut in this platform adventure. Jump, swim, fly and ride your motorbike to victory, as you save your world from the evil Janken and his henchmen! Success will depend on a game of “scissors, paper, stone”!

Fatal Fury 2 – NEOGEO
900 Wii Points (£6.75)

The sequel to SNK’s original beat ‘em up brings back Joe Higashi, and Terry and Andy Bogard, along with five all-new combatants. Bigger and better graphics, the ability to battle across two 2D planes, and new ‘desperation moves’ means Fatal Fury 2 belongs in every fighting fan’s collection.

Ninja Combat – NEOGEO
900 Wii Points (£6.75)

Make like a ninja as you take on hordes of enemies in this classic side-scrolling arcade action game for one or two players. Fight as Joe or Hayabusa, and other warriors that offer their services along the way, including the legendary swordsman Musashi. You’ll be needing all the help you can get to rid the city of an evil ninja clan.

The Last Ninja 2 – Commodore 64
500 Wii Points (£3.75)

In the sequel to the hit action-adventure, follow the evil shogun Kunitoki through time to modern-day Manhattan. Use your combat and puzzle-solving skills to make your way from Central Park to the final showdown, in this isometric 3D masterpiece.

Nebulus – Commodore 64
500 Wii Points (£3.75)

When eight mysterious towers suddenly appear across planet Nebulus, it falls to you to ascend each one, avoid the many perils, and activate the destruct mechanism at the summit. This innovative platformer astounded 80s gamers with its 3D-style graphics and addictive ‘just one more go’ gameplay.
