The Crew console beta starts today, progress won’t carry over

Progress made in The Crew‘s closed beta on PS4 and Xbox One won’t carry over to the final game, creative director Julian Gerighty has confirmed.

Following earlier beta tests on PC, new-gen console owners will be able to sample Ivory Tower’s open-world racing game when the beta launches later today. Those interested in participating can still register here.

Creative director Gerighty told Examiner: “All of our betas so far have been technical betas. They are not there for anything else except for learning how we can make the experience better when we launch.

“They are also to get feedback from the community, but it’s not a marketing beta. This means that players won’t be getting the full experience. It’s a technical beta and you shouldn’t expect everything to be unlocked and transfer to the full game.”
