The Rockstar Social Club has gone live for pre-registering. Registration requires users to select an avatar from the gallery and entering some personal details. There isn’t much to do at the Social Club until you pick up a copy of the game though check out the previous news article regarding the Social Club for details of what will become available. Here is what is currently available on the Rockstar Social Club:
Users who register before 11:59:59 PM EDT April 28 are “automatically entered into an once-in-a-lifetime sweepstake” to win a specially-commissioned custom portrait: your likeness drawn by Rockstar Games in the art-style of Grand Theft Auto: IV.
Details of how the ZIT feature in the game will work are also available via the Social Club. When players hear an in-game song they like the sound off, they simply need to call “ZIT-555-0100” on their mobile phone which tags the song for later purchase via the Rockstar Social Club and Amazon MP3.
Also around the site is an in-game advert for Eugenics (“Sperm for Cash Program”) starring Porn Star Tony Wallop, a “coming soon” advert for Midnight Club: Los Angeles and finally another “coming soon” advert for a statistics card game called “Beat It!”.
