Resistance 2 details unveiled

More details have emerged of Resistance 2 for the PS3 from the PlayStation Day taking place in London at the 02 Arena.

The Insomniac boss Ted Price took to the stage to reveal some more tidbits for the sequel to Resistance: Fall of Man which was a launch title for the console.

Resistance 2 will be focussing on four areas including community, campaign, co-op and competitive and each of these will be equal rather than one having additional edge over the other.

The website, MyResistance.net will be receiving an overhaul and will offer features seen in social networking sites such as Facebook. Nice to know they have original content lined up then!

Meanwhile the storyline will reveal more about the mysterious Hale and the orgins of the Chimera with a seperate plot taking place for the eight-player co-op mode. Teamwork will be rewarded with bonus points which in turn can be used for levelling up; so be nice to your friends!

Multiplayer will receive a major overhaul and will feature Chimera. The focus is on “battles within battles” so each 60-person fight will involve five smaller skirmishes between the squads and each squad will be given dynamic objectives.

Resistance 2 will be out in November.
