It has been reported today the developer Human Head has officially scrapped the sequel to the shooter Prey, Prey 2.
Although Bethesda has yet to comment, Dutch site PSFocus has reportedly released the news after various tip offs from industry sources.
Bethesda apparently cancelled various Prey 2 presentations, due to be shown at the GDC which finished not so long ago.
With the opportunity to become an alien-killing mercenary in an open world, leaving behind the linear play of the original Prey title, it seems a shame that we won’t get to see what Bethesda had thought up for the beleaguered title.
