New Burnout: Paradise content announced

If the Cagney update to Burnout: Paradise wasn’t enough, Criterion Games have announced new content will be arriving to the game early next year – February to be precise.

The content, named Burnout: Paradise Party Edition is a recreation of the game mode evident in Crash Mode from Burnout 2: Point of Impact. The Party Edition allows eight players to compete using one controller. Players take it in turns to complete a simple, fun challenge to complete in one of the three categories: Stunt, Speed and Skill.

It’s also worth mentioning the new content sports new visuals and atmosphere. Criterion “overhauled not just the presentation screens but also the in-game visuals, which are now brighter and more colourful in recognition of Burnout’s new party theme.”

Unfortunately, this time around it seems we’re going to have to splash some cash for the content but with the added extra of new trophies and achievements will arrive with the content – I am very tempted. You can read the full Criterion Games blog post here.
